WTF: What The Flux?

Presented by Thomas Parslow.

@ 68 Middle St Brighton, BN1 Map of 68 Middle St
Flux Capacitor

Tom Parslow returns to Async to talk about Flux, the perfect compliment to React.JS for building reliable maintainable JavaScript applications.

React.JS is a fantastic way to render views in your JavaScript application. But it only provides for that one part of overall app, you still need a way to manage your models and keep data flowing through your system. MVC and two-way data binding have been useful, but too often we end up with a tangled mess. Flux is a new way of architecting your JavaScript applications using unidirectional data flow and immutable data that works very well with React.JS and frees us from the tyranny of event chains!
